What is integrative wellness?

Applying theory and proven practice, integrative wellness uses healing methods to relieve physical, biochemical, social, and spiritual ailments to support a patient’s overall fitness. As with other humanistic practices, it comes from the belief that harmonizing the inner self with the world around us can heal human suffering while addressing systemic and societal issues. Integrative wellness may include functional medicine, health sciences, functional nutrition, precision nutrition, health wellness coaching, and more.

About our integrative wellness coaching programs

We currently offer two programs in integrative wellness.

Integrative wellness is about improving quality of life. Saybrook University seeks to empower its students to empower others to enhance their health across all modalities and define their inner purpose.

A note on certification

Saybrook’s College of Integrative Medicine and Health Services (CIMHS) Certificate in Integrative Wellness Coaching focuses on the fundamental health coaching competencies and skills recognized by professional credentialing organizations. The certificate program is best suited for individuals interested in obtaining skills and competencies in fundamental, intermediate, and advanced health coaching methods. These certificate programs are available to students currently enrolled in other Saybrook degree programs and non-degree-seeking students.
